ABOUT

Andrei Ciurdarescu, born in 1984 in Orastie, Hunedoara County, Romania. In 2014 he graduated the PhD Program at University of Art and Design Cluj-Napoca where he obtained the title of Doctor of Fine Arts. In 2015 was selected for ”Vasile Parvan” scholarship, at Accademia di Romania in Roma, Rome, Italy, where he lived and worked for a year. During his artistic career he had numerous collective and personal exhibitions among which, we mention: ”Giardini splendore. Belleza ferita” and ”Neomappa Roma” at Accademia di Romania in Roma, Rome, Italy (2015); ”Luc Tuymans in dialogue with Calin Dan” at Spatiul Intact Cultural Foundation – Fabrica de Pensule, Cluj-Napoca, Romania (2014); ”Vanguardias y periferias” at LaNeomudejar – Centro de Artes de Vanguardia, Madrid, Spain (2014); ”Cutting Edge II” at The Art Museum of Cluj-Napoca, Cluj-Napoca, Romania (2013). Now he lives and works as Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts – painting department, at University of Art and Design – Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
